From June 7th to 9th, 2023, in Athens, Greece, the “Water Innovation and Circularity Conference (WICC)” will be held, bringing together researchers, engineers, and water sector professionals from the academic, industrial, water services, public authorities, and administration worlds to exchange knowledge and experiences. The conference is organized within the scope of this Horizon2020 Innovation Action by the Sanitary Engineering Laboratory of the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. During the conference, knowledge and expertise on innovative systems, technologies, and processes applicable to water and wastewater management will be shared, considering the entire water supply chain, from extraction to disposal and reuse of treated wastewater. Moreover, with a special focus on developing countries, discussions will address resource-oriented sanitation services as a solution toward sustainable and eco-friendly sanitation services During the conference, there will be a presentation by Prof. Giuseppe Luigi Cirelli, Prof.ssa Feliciana Licciardello and Dott.ssa Liviana Sciuto from the University of Catania, along with Dott.ssa Angela Ingenio, Dott. Marzio Melis, and Dott. Manuel Sapiano from the Energy & Water Agency (EWA) in Malta.
